Betting FAQ

Asian Handicaps make a sporting event become more alligned by giving a handicap to one team, bringing the odds closer together. This in turn creates more betting opportunities. Also the draw is taken out, so there can only be two possible outcomes.

— Asian handicap 0

The 0 Asian Handicap is where both teams are at the same level or evenly matched, the draw is taken out so you are betting on a team to win. If the match finishes in a draw the stake is refunded and if your selection wins you win the bet. If your selection loses you lose the bet.

— Asian handicap -0.25 or 0,-0.5

The -0.25 or 0,-0,5 is a split or double handicap and can be displayed in two formats as shown above. Your stake is split into two and counted as two bets.

0 — The first half of the bet is on the result without the draw and you will win this bet if your selection wins and lose if it loses. You will get this half of your stake back if the result is a draw.

-0.5 — Your other half of the stake or second bet will win if your selection wins and lose if your selection draws or loses.

— Asian handicap -0.5

The -0.5 handicap is where your selection gets -0.5 goals added to the total. So if your selection wins you win the bet, if your selection loses or draws you will lose the bet.

— Asian handicap -0.75 or -0.5,-1

This Asian Handicap is split again so your stake is split into two bets. The handicap can be displayed as -0.75 or -0.5,-1.

One half of your stake will be put onto the -0.5 handicap which means your selection has a handicap of -0.5 so if your selection wins you will win this half of the bet. If your selection loses or draws you will lose this half of the bet.

— Asian handicap -1

The -1 Asian handicap is where your selection is given a -1 handicap. So if your selection wins by 2 or more goals your bet will win. If your selection wins by 1 goal you have your stake refunded and if your selection draws or loses you will lose the bet.

— Asian handicap -1.25 or -1,-1.5

The -1.25 or -1,-1.5 is a split or double handicap and dependant on the bookmaker you use the format will be displayed in the two examples above. Again your stake is split into two seperate bets.

-1 is the first half of your bet will win if your selection wins by 2 goals or more. You will get this half of your stake refunded if your selection wins by 1 goal and you will lose this half if your selection draws or loses.

-1.5 is the second part of your bet and your selection is give a -1.5 handicap. You will win your bet if your selection wins by 2 goals or more. This half of your bet will lose if your selection wins by 1 goal, draws or loses.

— Over 0.5/Under 0.5 goals

One of the simplest match total bets. In this case the asian handicap is set at half a goal. This means that if you choose the Over 0.5 bet, then all that is required to win, is one of the teams scoring a single goal. In the same manner, if you bet on Under 0.5, then you expect that no goals will be scored in the match

— Over 0.75/Under 0.75 goals

Quarter goal handicaps are a bit more complex. In order to simplify them, you have to follow a simple trick: Split your quarter handicap bet into two separate bets, a full goal and a half goal one. This means, that in the instance of the 0.75 bet, you will have to technically divide your stake in two bets: Half your stake is placed on the 0.5 handicap and the other half on the 1 goal handicap.

By following this rule of thumb, you can see that if you bet on the over 0.75 and a match ends with only one goal being scored, you will get half your stake back (over 1 goal) and win the other half (over 0.5 goals). If you bet on the under 0.75, you will lose half your stake (under 0.5) and get a cashback of the rest (under 1). Finally, if a match ends as a goalless draw you will lose your entire over 0.75 AH bet and win the under 0.75 one. If two or more goals are scored, the over 0.75 bet is won entirely, while the under 0.75 won’t give you any money.

— Over 1 goal Meaning /Under 1 goals

This one is considered a full goal Asian handicap and typically a safe choice of betting. If you bet on the Over 1 goal line, you need more than one goal to win your wager. If the match ends with exactly one goal being scored you will get a full refund (push), while if the final result is 0-0, you will lose your bet. In the same manner, an under 1 goal line will win on a 0-0 draw, lose on two or more goals and give you a full refund on a single goal result.

— Over 1.25/Under 1.25 goals

Similarly to the the over/under 0.75, this is another quarter goal asian handicap. This time, you will have to split your bets into a full goal handicap (1 goal) and a half goal one (1.5). If a match ends with only one goal being scored, you will get half your stake back (over 1) for the over 1.25 bet and lose the rest (over 1.5). If you had bet on the under 1.25, you will win half your stake (under 1.5) and be refunded with the other half (under 1). A 0-0 draw means that you will lose your over 1.25 bet and win the under 1.25, while two or more goals give the exact opposite results.

— Over 1.75/Under 1.75 goals

This is a quarter goal handicap commonly found on low scoring leagues. Your winning margin concerns two goals. If a match ends with less than two goals the under 1.75 bet wins while the over 1.75 loses. If two goals are scored, your bet is once again split in two separate bets. For the over 1.75 you will get half your stake back (over 2), while the remaining stake (over 1.5) will be won. Accordingly, if you had bet on the under 1.75 and there are two goals, you will lose half your stake (under 1.5)  and be refunded with the other half (under 2).

— Over 2/Under 2 goals

Similar to the over 1/under 1 goal bet. If less than two goals are scored, the under bet wins and the over loses. If there are more than two goals, the opposite applies. If there exactly two goals in this match, then you will receive a full refund of your stake, regardless of which of the two bets you chose.

— Over 2.25/Under 2.25 goals

Once again, simply add a single goal on the 1.25 bet. Less than two goals, means that the under bet is won and the over 2.25 lost. More than three goals results in the over bet winning and the under losing entirely. Exactly two goals, mean that you’ll have to split your bet into two separate ones. The over 2.25 gets half its stakes back and wins the rest. The under, will lose half the stakes and get a cashback of the rest.

— Over 2.5/Under 2.5 goals

The most common match totals goal line found on every online betting site. If three or more goals are scored you win the over bet and lose the under 2.5. If there are less than three goals, the opposite applies.

— Over 2.75/Under 2.75 goals

Another quarter goal Asian handicap. If three goals are scored, you’ll once again have to split your bet into two parts. On an over 2.75 bet you’ll get half your stake back and lose the rest. The under 2.75 will let you get half your stake back and win the other half. If there are less than three goals, the under bet wins and the over loses. More than three goals, mean that the over bet is a winning one while the under bet is lost entirely.
